Abstract


The science of ornithology operates within certain recognised parameters. All wild species in a particular a rea are accorded individual status, such as resident, migrant visitor, vagrant, etc. But any species whose origins are suspected to be artificial, e.g. as a result of introduction or the product of captive breeding.  usually  is t rea ted on a different  level from truly wild birds in any study of the area’s ornithology.
