Abstract

Seventy-eight species of plants in thirty-three families are listed as food plants of the small forest grasshopper Coscineauta virens. Among them are many closely related native and exotic species, including crops, ornamentals, shade plants and weeds. The host range reflects the insects ability to adapt and respond to a changing environment.
