Abstract

Some 24 species of holothurians, commonly called sea cucumbers, have been recorded from the shallow waters of the Caribbean Sea (Deichmann, 1963). Of this total, 10 species are known to occur in Tobago and three in Trinidad. None has been recorded from the waters of Dominica. Through the courtesy of various collectors, Selenkothuria glaberrima (Selenka) can now be added as being new to the fauna of these three islands.
